How to Add and Verify Your First Domain

Welcome to CertificateGuardian! Getting started is quick and easy. Follow these steps to set up active monitoring for your domain.

Step 1: Add your domain in the dashboard

1. Log in to your CertificateGuardian dashboard. 2. Navigate to the Inventory tab. 3. Click the Add Domain button in the top right. 4. Enter your root domain or subdomain (e.g., example.com or api.example.com).

Step 2: Configure scan settings

• Scan Frequency: Choose between daily, weekly, or custom intervals (default is daily).
• Notification Thresholds: Define how many days before expiration you want to start receiving alerts (e.g., 30, 15, and 7 days).

Step 3: Trigger the initial scan

Once added, our scanner will immediately queue an active SSL audit. You can view the status of the scan under the Scans tab. Within a minute, you'll see details like certificate issuer, cipher strength, expiration date, and trust chain validity.
